I really enjoyed taking photographs at my friends farm. Here is some more of his amazing pottery as well!
If you know me, you know that photography has always been a big part of my life. Starting in 2009, I decided it would be interesting (at least to me) to document a year with a photo a day. I finished my first year and I am starting my second. I am not sure I will be quite as diligent in Year 2 but I will try!

I am taking a lot of pictures while visiting a friend who is an amazing potter. He lives in an old farm house with tons of fun things to look at! Pottery pictures will have to wait til another day...for now I am intrigued with the marbles!
I got to Vermont in the late afternoon and was greeted by this picturesque shot of a bare tree branch and snow capped mountains.
I have had a little obsession with feathers this month. This was I found on the ground while visiting Hamilton College.
We headed down to Ithaca today to enjoy a post holiday tradition with a good group of friends. I never quite got my camera back out unfortunately so this was the only picture I took of the omelet fixings. There was a ton more yummy stuff.

I went and met up with a bunch of the members from the Syracuse Photographers Association today at Websters Pond. Apparently these ducks and geese didn't fly south either.
Week one down after a long hiatus. It felt good to be back on campuses, talking to students and seeing my road warrior peeps again! Another day...another campus tree!
Usually when I am on the road I am doing work dinners or seeing friends in the various cities and towns I am in, but sometimes it is just nice to be alone after a long day of speaking to students.
If I had to do it all over again...I would major in photography, digital imaging, design, or something like that!
Well I finally did it. I bought my first computer EVER. It is hard to believe that I have never owned a computer but instead used work computers or Bill's computers. Now I am the proud owner of my new imac and I LOVE IT! You know you are jealous!
Bill and I went to the Freihofer Outlet to pick up some bread. What a deal - 3 loaves of bread for 3 bucks! When we were leaving there was a truck overflowing with bread, donuts, cookies, etc. I hope they drive slowly!
Mona had not made an appearance this year so I figured it was time...still cute as ever as she chillaxes in her memory foam bed!

Apparently Syracuse and Fulton, NY have been mentioned several times on The Today Show and I have had a few people contact me asking if we were buried in snow. Luckily I live about 20 minutes south of Syracuse which is 30 minutes south of Fulton. Fulton has gotten about 4 feet of snow, Syracuse about 2 feet and here in Jamesville...ONLY a foot. Luckily we have good and plenitful snow plow drivers so our roads are clear and there has not been a run on milk and bread at the grocery store. We are working on day NINE of snow...luckily it is the light fluffy lake effect snow. The kind that does not accumulate quickly and come down even when the sun is out!
Just Keep Snowing...What does it do...It snows...It LOVES to snow...LA LA LA LA LA LA. Sub-reference to Finding Nemo and Dory's rendition of "Just keep swimming".
