28 November 2009 Photo: Ahhhh Home

I am happy to be home in my peaceful and quiet space surrounded by my stuff and just Mona and Bill. While I always enjoy spending time with my family and Bill's family, it is so nice to get back to our own corner of the world where we can control our environment!

23 May 2009 Photo: Summer Dreams

Memorial Day Weekend...as a kid, that meant the official opening of Misquamicut Beach. As an adult, it has meant our National Professional Conference for the last 12 years. However, this year I am not going to the conference in LA and I am thrilled about it.

Today we put together our newest purchase as pictured above. I LOVE this gazebo. This is our third gazebo in as many years and we hope this one makes it more than one season. Our outdoor space is so peaceful and comfy. I could not make it through the summer without our outdoor living room so I am glad we replaced it. Thanks to Bill and his parents for indulging me to get it together this morning! Below is the one from last year that blew down in the wind storm...the new one is much nicer.

6 February 2009 Photo: Part-Time Shut In

When I get home from being on the road all week for work, sometimes I don't want to venture very far out of the house. I feel badly because Bill will want to go for dinner or something and all I want to do is chill at home with a peanut butter sandwich and catch up on what's been DVR'ed. After working from home today, it was one of those days. There are times when being a quasi-shut in is appealing after driving almost 800 miles in a week.

So the photo today is looking out the dew covered window of the front door when I went to see if the mail had come yet. I asked Bill to go get the mail :)
