5 June 2010: Gone Fishin'

I was in Gloucester, MA for a graduation party and stopped by to see the Gorton's fisherman. Gloucester is the oldest seaport and still a hub for fishing. If you saw the movie, The Perfect Storm, Gloucester is the port that is portrayed. It is a beautiful place and had been far to long since I had been there! 3 February 2010: New England Charm

I spend much of my life driving around New England. The quintessential clock tower and weather vane are are found in many towns and cities. This typical site, along with the old stone walls are a few of my favorite New England things.

Happy Birthday America! My very patriotic puppy insisted on being the photo of the day and since she was singing Stars And Stripes Forever while posing in front of the flag, I had to accommodate.

Later in the night we walked across the street to our neighbors to see the Ring of Fire. This is a yearly tradition the lakefront homes do every Fourth of July using flares. The rockets red glare bursted in air while we were watching as well. All in all a good birthday celebration!

18 January 2009 Photo: Proud To Be An American

The title of this blog post is not something that most people have ever heard come out of my mouth...at least not in recent history. I can say that for the first time in a long time, I am hopeful and excited about what the future may hold for our country. I know we have a long way to go but feel like we have a much stronger person at the helm who was actually the choice of the American people. I will be thrilled when President-Elect Obama is finally President Obama.

As we are about to embark upon a time of historical significance on so many fronts, I decided I am going to try take pictures this week with a focus on these events! I wish I was able to be in DC for the inauguration but I will certainly be following the events on TV and online.
