5 August 2010: Crazy Colleagues

We had a staff gathering by the "Water Feature" at Arcadia. I have been taking crazy pictures of my friends I met through Arcadia all over the world for the last six years. Here's to many more photo opps...

Our final staff lunch was had today at the Glenside Pub. They have a unique way of advertising other businesses. There are a bunch of sign cut outs hanging from the ceiling.

A couple of my photos hang in The College of Global Studies office at Arcadia University (where I work-well when I am not on the road or working from home). The one on the left was taken in Northern Ireland at the University of Ulster.

7 December 2009 Photo: Pillow Gate Update

I am in PA for the week and staying in my normal hotel when I am here for work. Today I FINALLY received a call from the hotel manager that accused me of stealing the pillows last week. She told me that she they would not be further investigating the missing "soft" pillows and would not be charging me. We'll see if the hotel this week finds something missing when I leave - I did use the complimentary shampoo. I hope that is ok!

Another night hanging with the study abroad colleagues from all over the country ended in pool. Beware of the sharks!

I am at a meeting for work Thursday - Saturday at a conference center just outside of Philly. As I was sitting on a couch waiting for some colleagues, these lights captured my eye (and my camera lens).

Just a funny picture of the many faces of my crazy colleagues! When I first started working for Arcadia about 5 years ago, I started taking "Dumb Dru" pictures during all of our travels. Dru was joined by Amy and Todd for this "dumb" picture!

21 June 2009 Photo: Mr Potato Head Is Old

It is Retreat Week for my job. Once a year, my colleagues from all over the U.S. come together for a week in Glenside, PA to discuss topics, address issues, regroup and get ready for the next year. We stay in nearby Chestnut Hill which is a quaint neighborhood in suburban Philly. This toy store is just up the road from our hotel and I was attracted by Mr Potato Head in the window. Did you know Mr Potato Head is almost 60? I remember many a day spent in the toy store in my hometown...what more could a kid want (well, other than money to buy all the toys)?

14 January 2009 Photo: I've Got The Whole World...

...in my hands.

As I prepare for my "road warrior" life to begin again, I thought it appropriate to photograph a small globe ornament we have in our home. While I can't say I am eager to start driving hundreds of miles a week again, I am excited to share the world with college students. My job advises students, faculty and staff at colleges and universities around the northeast about the options we have for study abroad with Arcadia .
